Chef Jose Velez
Jose Velez's culinary creations are synonymous with exceptional flair and unrelenting passion for great taste. His storied career and talent has taken this Culinary Institute of America trained chef from cooking in the White House for both Presidents Bush and Clinton to New York City's elegant Rihga Royal Hotel.
Under his leadership, a team of chefs won the Gold Medal in Great Britain at the prestigious "Salon Culinaire International de Londres." His recipes have been featured on television and newspapers as well as cookbooks.
Velez's signature dishes are influenced by the multicultural influence of his travels. He has served as Executive Chef at the Sea view Resort and Spa - a Four Star Diamond Resort designated by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences. There, as the organizer of "The Taste of the LPGA Invitational", he was featured with well-known chefs Bobby Flay and Charlie Trotter.
Jose began his career at The Marquis, Times Square's largest hotel. He created unique menus for select VIP clientele, and events for the National Academy of Television Arts and Science, The Tony Awards, and the James Beard Gala, among other clients of note.
